Rosa's Book Location in KCD2 Revealed

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, some side tasks are easy to miss, and failing to complete them can be frustrating since you can't return to them later. One such task is finding Rosa's book, which is crucial for those looking to deepen their relationship with her. Here's how to unlock and complete the "Rosa's Book" side quest.

Unlocking the Rosa's Book Side Quest

To initiate the "Rosa's Book" side quest, you must first complete the "Via Argentum" quest and begin "Taking French Leave." After assisting the Ruthard family with Vavak, either through force or persuasion, you'll be directed to speak with Rosa. She'll inform you about a secret passage into Maleshov that you can use to rescue Hans. During your conversation, Rosa will ask you to retrieve a book for her while you're in Maleshov. Make sure to ask her about the specific book and promise to bring it back to her, which will officially start the "Rosa's Book" quest.

Remember, you can only complete this quest during the "Taking French Leave" mission. If you leave Maleshov with Hans without finding the book, the quest will fail, and you'll miss the opportunity to romance Rosa.

Upon entering Maleshov, head to the largest tower where Hans is located at the top. Use the stairs on the side of the building to enter the tower. Once inside, you'll find another set of stairs and a small kitchen nearby. Hide in the kitchen until the guards upstairs leave the tower.

Next, sneak up the stairs to a room where you'll find Lady Ofka sitting by the fireplace. Sneak behind her and knock her out to obtain the keys from her body, the podium in her room, and a sword from the chest. In this room, you'll also find Rosa's book. Look to the right of the fireplace, where you'll see a red book in the window alcove. Pick it up, and your objective will update to return the book to Rosa.

While in the area, don't forget to grab another sword from the chest in the adjacent room. This will save you time later when you meet Hans, as you'll need two weapons for him and his surprise guest. After securing the book and the swords, head to the top level and unlock the door on the left to trigger a cutscene.

Following the cutscene, continue with the "Taking French Leave" quest. Although Hans may not want to use the passageway, you can still work towards romancing him by choosing the dialogue option with a heart, provided you made the same choice in Trosky. Sneak to the stables on the north side of Maleshov, knocking out and hiding guards as necessary. Clear a path, signal Hans, and ensure he reaches the stables safely.

After opening the gate and completing the final cutscene, head back to Kuttenberg City and stop at Ruthard Palace to deliver Rosa's book. This completes the "Rosa's Book" side quest in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.
