  • Old School RuneScape's Royal Titans update introduces two powerful new bosses
  • Face the fire and ice regent giants to obtain exclusive new gear
  • New Slayer Alternative Tasks let you earn Slayer XP while fighting giants

Another major update arrives in Old School RuneScape! This time, Jagex presents players with not just one but two challenging bosses. Still looking for more? How about battling them simultaneously? The Royal Titans update throws you into exactly this scenario, creating a massive challenge that coincides with OSRS's 12th-anniversary celebrations.

Prepare for a three-way conflict between fire and ice giants. Brandr, Queen of Fire, aims to expand her fire giants' domain by invading the Asgarnian Ice Cave. However, Eldric, King of Frost, leads the ice giants' retaliation. Caught between these warring factions, you must fight for survival.

Whether you face this clash solo or team up in duos, you'll need specialized gear to exploit elemental weaknesses and resolve this epic confrontation. Victory against these titans grants exceptional rewards, including the Twinflame Staff and Giantsoul Amulet, which provides instant teleportation to any of the three giant bosses.

But the rewards don't stop there! Defeating the Royal Titans also earns you Prayer Scrolls, Desiccated Pages, and your very own Fire & Ice giant pet. The new Slayer Alternative Task system lets you accumulate Slayer XP while completing boss assignments for fire or ice giant tasks.

Wondering why the Slayer skill matters so much and how additional XP benefits late-game progression? Our comprehensive guide explains exactly why Slayer remains crucial in Old School RuneScape.
