The latest expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket has brought an exciting wave of shiny variants into the game, adding over 110 new cards to collect. Named "Shining Revelry," this expansion introduces dazzling new card variants, including additions from the Paldea region, which are sure to captivate collectors and players alike. If you're like me, you'll be wishing for more Hourglasses to splurge on those tempting 10-pack pulls.

As soon as the update hit, I couldn't resist using some of my hard-earned Pack Hourglasses to open ten packs. My luck? I pulled a Charizard EX, which was a thrilling find, though the rest of the haul was less exciting. However, pulling a Pokémon Center Lady card provided some comfort; her ability to heal Special Conditions is a valuable asset, especially when you're battling a pesky Burn.

Alongside the new cards, the update introduces an Emblem event, giving players the chance to earn stylish new badges to show off to friends. The highlight of this update, however, is the introduction of Ranked Matches. You'll be dueling against other Trainers, climbing from Beginner to Master Ball Rank, with your points displayed proudly. At the end of the approximately one-month season, you'll be awarded a special emblem, making it a perfect time to dust off your dueling skills and start refining your decks.
