In Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete, giving snacks to animals is a delightful and effective way to boost their friendship levels. As your friendship with the animals grows, you'll gain more experience towards your Camp Manager Level, making the journey to higher levels smoother, especially for newcomers. However, snacks are a rare commodity, and the most dependable source for them is through Gulliver's Ship. Understanding which snacks to give and in what quantities is key to maximizing their benefits.
The most straightforward way to acquire snacks is by utilizing Gulliver's Ship to explore special islands, known as gold islands, where you can collect Villager Maps. Successfully gathering all souvenirs from these islands rewards you with a hefty bonus of 20 Gold Treats.
For those who have already completed their Villager Map collection, the strategy shifts to sending Gulliver's Ship to whatever island is currently displayed on the map. Depending on the island type, the snacks you'll receive will vary. If your goal is to stock up on Gold Treats, focus on completing any Isle of Style that appears. You'll receive 3 Gold Treats as a souvenir, followed by another 3 as a completion bonus.
You can only view three islands at once, but you can refresh this selection by tapping the icon in the upper-right corner of the screen, though you're limited to one free refresh per day.
To embark on these snack-gathering adventures, you'll need cargo, which can be crafted from your furniture catalog. Some islands require specific furniture as cargo. For instance, if you're aiming for modern-themed snacks, set your sights on Exotic Island, using a Plain Package, Plain Crate, or exotic-themed furniture like the Exotic Rug.
Each island offers different snacks, but you can get a sneak peek by tapping the magnifying glass on the island's icon. Islands that take longer to clear, such as those requiring 6 hours, often yield more treats than quicker ones. For example, Piano Island is a treasure trove of Tart Snacks, ranging from Plain to Gourmet.
Snacks in Pocket Camp Complete are categorized into regular and themed varieties. Regular snacks, comprising Bronze, Silver, and Gold Treats, are universally liked. Themed snacks, such as the Plain Donut, are further divided into three tiers: Plain, Tasty, and Gourmet.
Plain-themed snacks offer the least friendship points, while gourmet-themed snacks provide the highest. These gourmet snacks are typically harder to obtain, often requiring you to complete islands that take 6 hours to finish.

Before handing out snacks, it's crucial to know each animal's theme, as they earn more friendship points when given a snack that matches their theme. Fortunately, the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Treats are generic and beloved by all, with Gold Treats offering the highest friendship boost at 25 points.
Giving 10 Gold Treats to a level 1 animal can catapult them to level 15.
If you're unsure of an animal's theme, a quick tap on their icon at your campsite or cabin will reveal it, displayed near their name. For animals encountered on the map (not at your campsite), you can check their theme via your Contacts or at Pete's Parcel Service.
To share a snack, simply tap on the animal and select "Have a snack!". This option is always highlighted in red, signaling that you'll earn friendship points with each gift.
