No Man's Sky: A Comprehensive Guide to Acquiring Solanium
Solanium, a valuable resource in No Man's Sky, is exclusively found on planets with specific climates. This guide details how to locate, farm, and craft Solanium, ensuring you have a steady supply.
Unlike Frost Crystals, Solanium thrives on hot and arid planets. Before landing, use your ship's scanner to identify planets with descriptions like "Arid," "Incandescent," "Boiling," or "Scorched." The scanner will also indicate Solanium as a resource.
Once landed, employ your Analysis Visor to locate Solar Vines – tall, rock-like structures with glowing vines. These are abundant in specific areas. Remember, you'll need a Haz-Mat Gauntlet to harvest them. While on these planets, also collect Phosphorus, a crucial component in Solanium crafting.
After progressing the Farmer's Agricultural Research mission, you can cultivate Solar Vines at your base. Use Hydroponic Trays or Bio-Domes, planting Solar Vines with 50 Solanium and 50 Phosphorus. On hot planets, direct ground planting is possible.
Harvesting takes roughly 16 real-time hours.
Several Refiner recipes produce Solanium, most requiring Phosphorus (obtained from hot planets or Galactic Trade Terminals). Here are the recipes:
Note that all methods, including those using Sulphurine, necessitate a visit to a hot planet. To consistently obtain Sulphurine, focus on gathering Phosphorus and establishing a base farm.
