Fans of *Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man*, the Disney+ animated series that follows Peter Parker's first year in high school, have exciting news to celebrate: the show has already been renewed for both a Season 2 and Season 3. In a recent interview with The Movie Podcast, Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming, television, and animation, shared some thrilling updates about the series. Despite Season 1 not premiering until tomorrow, January 29, Winderbaum revealed that Season 2's scripts are fully completed and half of its animated storyboards are already finished. Moreover, Season 3 has been greenlit, showing Marvel's confidence in the series' success.
Winderbaum expressed his deep affection for the characters and the storytelling crafted by lead writer and executive producer Jeff Trammell. "I've fallen so head over heels in love with these characters and I've now read all of the scripts for Season 2; we're halfway through the animatics," he said. He emphasized the meticulous development of the show, noting how Trammell's approach pays off in connecting viewers emotionally to the characters. "What [Jeff Trammell] is building brick by brick in this show starts to pay off. And you feel it in Season 1. You grow connected to these characters so that when everything starts to lock into place and pay off by the end of the season, I feel it in my very soul and it just gets deeper and deeper in subsequent seasons."

Winderbaum also mentioned an upcoming meeting with Trammell in a couple of weeks to discuss the pitch for Season 3, though he kept details about the release dates for both Season 2 and Season 3 under wraps.
