Stardew Valley's highly anticipated 1.6 update finally arrives on mobile devices! Console and mobile players can rejoice as the massive update launches on November 4th, 2024, following its March 2024 PC debut.
This update significantly expands the game's features. Online multiplayer now supports up to eight players, doubling the previous capacity for collaborative farming, fishing, and building. Two exciting fishing festivals—the Trout Derby and SquidFest—join the existing seasonal events, including the Desert Festival.
A brand-new farm layout, the Meadowlands, offers ample space for livestock and convenient fishing opportunities. Enhanced social interaction is provided through over 100 new NPC dialogues, adding depth to relationships with the town's residents.
Numerous items enhance gameplay. These include a significantly larger Big Chest, a dehydrator for preserving produce, a heavy furnace, and a bait maker for targeted fishing. Customization options are boosted with new furniture styles and over 25 new hats. Players can earn prize tickets through quests and festivals, redeemable at a prize machine in Lewis's house.
The update introduces the ability to have multiple pets after maximizing your initial pet's affection. These pets can even bring gifts, and you can now accessorize them with hats. Additionally, NPCs now sport winter attire.
A golden Joja parrot assists in locating golden walnuts on Ginger Island. New crops include carrots, summer squash, broccoli, powdermelon, and two giant crop varieties.
The delay in releasing the 1.6 update for mobile and consoles allowed the developers to thoroughly test the update on PC, ensuring a smoother launch and minimizing bugs. Now, the update is finally here! Get ready to explore new fishing events, bond with your multiple pets, and cultivate new crops.
