Shift Up, the developer behind Stellar Blade, has announced a record-breaking year, with Stellar Blade generating $43 million in royalties. The PC version is projected to surpass the PlayStation 5 sales figures.

Game World Observer reports that Shift Up's 2024 financial report shows a 30.4% year-over-year revenue increase, reaching $151.4 million. A significant portion, $43.2 million, stems directly from Stellar Blade royalties.

The company anticipates continued success, predicting stronger PC sales than the console version, particularly within the Asian gaming market. While a Stellar Blade sequel remains under consideration, Shift Up will unveil its new title, Project Witches, in the first half of 2025.

Project Witches, revealed in 2024 shortly after Stellar Blade's PS5 launch, preempts any immediate sequel development. However, Shift Up has confirmed that a future installment in the Stellar Blade franchise is a possibility.

Stellar Blade, a fast-paced action RPG, casts players as Eve, fighting against unknown invaders to reclaim Earth. The game achieved a 7/10 rating from IGN and sold over one million copies. Our review highlighted its strong action gameplay, but noted that underdeveloped characters, a weak narrative, and frustrating RPG mechanics hindered its overall potential.
