Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Gets Final Major Content Update

Summary

Rocksteady Studios has released the final major content update, Season 4 Episode 8, for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, this update concludes the game's live service. While servers will remain online, no further content will be developed after the January 14th patch.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, released in February 2024 to mixed reception, will cease receiving updates on January 14th, less than a year after launch. The decision, announced December 9th, 2024, follows largely negative feedback, primarily attributed to the game's unexpected live-service model. Despite this, all online features will remain accessible, allowing players to continue enjoying the game with friends.

Following a brief period of server downtime, Season 4 Episode 8: Balance is now live. This final update introduces a Libra-themed Infamy Set, powerful Notorious weapons, and a concluding Mayhem mission against Brainiac. Significant bug fixes and gameplay improvements are also included, such as reduced XP requirements for Squad Levels (with retroactive rewards).

Even with the end of content updates, players can still enjoy Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League offline thanks to Season 4 Episode 7's addition of offline mode. This allows access to the main campaign and all seasonal story missions without an internet connection, ensuring continued playability even if servers are eventually shut down.

For those who haven't played, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is currently available on PlayStation Plus until February 3rd, alongside The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered.
