The beloved RPG adventure management game, *The Tale of Food*, where players command an army of charming, personified dishes, is unfortunately shutting down. Initially launched for a closed beta in China in September 2019 and later distributed by Tencent Games, the game has captured the hearts of many. Here’s everything you need to know about the impending shutdown of *The Tale of Food*.
The official shutdown date for *The Tale of Food* is set for March 20th, 2025, at 10:00 AM (UTC+8). As of today, February 18th, 2025, in-game purchases have been disabled, and new player registrations are no longer accepted. Additionally, the game has been removed from the Google Play Store, though players who have already downloaded the game can continue playing until the servers close on the aforementioned date.
For those who purchased jewels between January 9th and February 18th, 2025, a refund can be requested. Players should contact in-game support or email the developers before March 20th to process their refund. More information regarding the terms and conditions of the shutdown can be found on the official X account of *The Tale of Food*.
It’s worth noting that the game’s Japan server closed in April 2023, followed by the China server in June 2024. The global version is the final server to shut down, marking the end of your journey as the Food God’s child, managing a world filled with delectable dumplings and sophisticated seafood.
Even after the servers go offline, the official social media communities on X, Facebook, and Discord will remain active. These platforms will serve as a space for fans to reminisce and share their cherished memories of the game.
