In Monster Hunter Wilds, there are 12 secret achievements waiting to be unlocked. Seven of these are tied directly to the main storyline, which means you'll naturally unlock them as you progress through the game. The remaining five achievements are linked to optional objectives, detailed below:
Let's dive into how to unlock each of these intriguing achievements.
To unlock this achievement, head to Zone 11 of the Windward Plains at night. Equip yourself with screamer pods and keep an eye out for a Baunos near the gathering spots. Shoot the screamer pods at the Baunos and then swiftly capture it using your Capture Net.
You can achieve this in any map by seeking out tight corners and dead ends. Specifically, navigate to Zone 6 of the Scarlet Forest and locate the small puddle of water. Use your Capture Net to catch the small golden crab that resides there. Keep an ear out for Alma's comments about creatures holding something special, as this can signal you're near a creature with an Ancient Wyvern Coin.
Once you reach the High Rank missions, start crafting Artian gear. To craft Rarity 8 weapons, you'll need to hunt Tempered monsters while equipped with Rarity 7 gear. This will set you on the path to restoring a legacy.
Be sure not to confuse Tempered monsters with Frenzied ones; the former are highlighted in purple on your minimap, while the latter are in red. Both slaying and capturing Tempered monsters count towards this achievement. You'll start encountering Tempered monsters from Chapter 4 onwards, once you delve into High Rank content.
This achievement is straightforward, but it's crucial to note that only the following monsters are considered Apex Predators:
By hunting 50 of these formidable creatures, you'll claim your spot at the top of the food chain.
