Dead Sails Kraken Boss Guide

You'll begin your journey right in the heart of town, across from the Gun Store and Hospital and in front of the Trading Hut. Start by offloading any unnecessary loot and arming yourself. I recommend a Rifle; it's only $75 and packs enough punch to fend off most enemies, at least temporarily. Once you're equipped, don't forget to purchase coal to fuel your boat—it's got an old-school engine, after all.

The next town is 10,000m away. Simply start the boat and you'll be on your way. You can stop to eliminate and loot Zombies and Drowned, but it's not always worth it as the houses on the sides don't hold much value. To restart the ship, just add more coal. Don't be alarmed by the worm on the right side. Wait until the second safe zone to sell your loot, but watch out for Big Foot and Zombie mobs on both sides of the river.

After reaching the second safe zone/town, you'll encounter burning buildings teeming with mobs. Clear them out if you're with friends, but solo, it's a waste of time due to the scattered spawn points. Around 12,000m, you'll find a castle-like house filled with Drowned and valuable loot like Shotgun ammo. Use it wisely.

Dead Sails Kraken Tips And Tricks

You know the routine—kill, loot, repeat and hope the enemy falls. That's the core gameplay loop, but to excel, focus on efficiency. Use the boat as your main inventory; empty your bag when you return to it to save time and space.

A key strategy from this Dead Sails Kraken Guide is stacking Zombies near the incinerator. Although it's tempting to flee those backwater towns, efficient loot stacking pays off. Short on fuel? Toss a few Zombies into the incinerator and you're set.

Another useful tip: be cautious in Sherrif's offices. They often harbor a higher concentration of mobs, but also offer substantial rewards in weapons and ammo. I kept my shotgun stocked for a long time by having a friend clear the ground floor while we explored each town.

Don't forget to conserve your ammo, weapons, fuel, and medkits for the fortress at around 25,000m. It's under construction, making it a hotspot for ambushes. I recommend bringing at least three more players, ideally a group of five. Be efficient when collecting loot.

Similarly, avoid engaging Big Feet beyond 30,000m. They're incredibly tough, consume a lot of ammo, and hit hard. Don't linger and plan your stops wisely. Remember, loot isn't everything.

The town after 50,000m is one of my favorite farming spots. It's packed with at least two dozen Drowned and Zombies. With friends equipped with Shotguns or a Sawnoff, it's an efficient way to gather corpses for fuel. Coordinate with your team to prepare the bodies for loading quickly.

How to Defeat the Kraken Boss in Dead Sails Kraken

In the final safe zone, sell everything and stock up on ammo, weapons, and medkits. Don't underestimate Zombies and Drowned. Keep a stash of at least 8-10 corpses for fuel during this crucial phase of the Dead Sails Kraken Guide. You're almost there. At around 100k, you'll hit open waters and be ready to face the beast. The sign of its approach is the skies darkening.

When the Kraken emerges, EVERYONE MUST PICK a tentacle. The boss has substantial health, with each tentacle attacking and causing damage if not repelled. If you have five people on board, form a pentagram-like shape and each focus on a tentacle.

Be cautious of the water splash ability. It causes AoE damage and is signaled by the Kraken winding back and creating a water trail with the tentacle. Use medkits liberally, as some damage is unavoidable.

Lastly, watch out for the Roar AoE, which inflicts minor, unblockable damage and seems to slightly boost the boss's damage. You'll recognize it by the white concentric circles emanating from the tentacle.
