The much-anticipated sequel, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, faces yet another delay, now set for a release in October 2025. This news comes directly from the game's official Twitter (X) account, announced on March 26, alongside a video update from the team.
In the video, Bloodlines 2's Executive Producer Marco Behrmann shared insights into the current development status, stating, "The status of the game right now is that the game is done. We are currently working on bug fixing, stability, and performance so we can deliver the best experience to you guys once it releases." This commitment to quality underscores Paradox's dedication to ensuring a polished final product.
Over recent months, Paradox has been actively engaging with the community through Dev Diaries, offering a glimpse into the game's characters, stories, and mechanics. However, to prioritize the game's polish, all Dev Diaries will be paused, allowing the developers to focus on elevating the game to meet their high standards.
Originally unveiled in March 2019, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was initially slated for a March 2020 release under developer Hardsuit Labs. However, the game faced its first delay in October 2019, pushing the release to an unspecified date in 2020, and then to 2021.
During this period, the project saw multiple lead changes, culminating in a significant shift in February 2021 when Paradox Interactive announced that Hardsuit Labs would no longer be involved. The development baton was passed to The Chinese Room, with the game expected to launch in late 2024. Subsequent delays have moved the release window to the first half of 2025 and now to late 2025.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is slated to launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Stay tuned to our updates for the latest news on this eagerly awaited title!
