World of Warcraft Reveals First 6-Month Subscription Offer of 2025

World of Warcraft is offering a new pair of in-game rewards for players subscribing for at least six months: the Timbered Sky Snake mount for retail WoW and the Timbered Air Snakelet pet for Classic WoW. Inspired by the 2025 Zodiac sign, these items will be granted to eligible players by January 31, 2025.

Since 2018, World of Warcraft has provided bonus in-game items for longer subscriptions, typically updated in January and July. Many past rewards reflected the lunar Zodiac, like 2024's Auspicious Arborwyrm (Year of the Wood Dragon).

The Timbered Sky Snake, a flying mount representing the Year of the Wood Snake, is available for retail WoW, while the Timbered Air Snakelet is its Classic WoW counterpart. These can be obtained by purchasing a six-month (or longer) subscription or individually from the in-game store ($25 for the mount, $10 for the pet). A separate Timbered Sky Snakelet pet for retail WoW is also available for $10 on the Battle.net shop, but isn't part of the subscription offer.

Existing subscribers will also receive these rewards. All qualifying Battle.net accounts will receive them by January 31, 2025, with redemption needed before the same date in 2026, when new rewards will likely be introduced.

Twelve-month subscribers receive additional rewards: the Startouched Furline, Gigantic Grrloc, and Charming Courier mounts (retail WoW), and the Lava Drake mount and Swoopy pet (Classic WoW). This also includes the July six-month subscription offer, making it attractive for mount collectors.

With major updates planned for both retail WoW (Patch 11.1 and potential player housing) and Classic WoW (Mists of Pandaria progression servers, anniversary realms, and Season of Discovery's conclusion), now's a great time to secure a longer subscription.
