Following the success of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, Koei Tecmo has launched another thrilling addition to the musou genre with Warriors: Abyss, a new roguelite game featuring iconic characters from the Warriors series, available starting today. Unveiled at the PlayStation State of Play, this game allows you to form a squad and battle through hordes of enemies, all viewed through an engaging isometric camera that echoes the styles of Diablo and Hades.

In Warriors: Abyss, you'll lead your team through the depths of "hell," confronting demonic foes along the way. The game showcases a variety of beloved characters from the Warriors franchise, including Zhou Yu, Nobunaga Oda, and Sunshang Xiang. According to the PlayStation Blog, players can recruit and add characters to their team over time, enhancing their combat capabilities with additional summoning actions. At launch, players can deploy up to seven active heroes from a roster of 100 warriors.

Koei Tecmo has plans to expand the character lineup post-launch, beginning with additions from the Jin kingdom in Dynasty Warriors. The developer hinted at further waves of characters, including potential additions from outside the Warriors series, promising even more variety and excitement for fans.

Warriors: Abyss is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. It will also be released on Nintendo Switch on February 13, 2025. Players looking to enhance their experience can grab the in-game Dynasty Warriors Costume Set, available until March 14, 2025.
