The Kinetic Blade, a fan-favorite melee weapon from Chapter 4 Season 2, returns to Fortnite Battle Royale in Chapter 6 Season 1 (Fortnite Hunters). This guide covers how to find and effectively use the Kinetic Blade, helping you decide if it's a superior choice to the newly introduced Typhoon Blade.

Finding the Kinetic Blade

The Kinetic Blade appears as floor loot in both Battle Royale Build and Zero Build modes. It can also be found inside standard and Rare chests. However, its current drop rate is relatively low, and the absence of dedicated Kinetic Blade stands (unlike the Typhoon Blade) further reduces its availability.

Using the Kinetic Blade

The Kinetic Blade is a high-impact melee weapon offering swift movement and surprising attacks. Unlike the Typhoon Blade, which requires sprinting for increased speed, the Kinetic Blade utilizes a Dash Attack. This lunge attack inflicts 60 damage upon impact and can be chained up to three times before needing a recharge.

Alternatively, the Knockback Slash deals 35 damage and sends opponents reeling backward. This attack can result in additional fall damage, potentially leading to an elimination if the opponent is knocked off a significant height.
