'The Legend of Zelda' Spin-Off Game Unveiled, Offering Link-Play Option

Nintendo's upcoming title, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, set for a September release, promises a unique experience: Zelda's first starring role. A recent ESRB rating reveals a surprising twist.

Zelda and Link: A Dual Protagonist Adventure

The ESRB listing confirms both Zelda and Link are playable characters. While Zelda's role in tackling rifts across Hyrule and rescuing Link is highlighted, the extent of Link's playable segments remains a mystery. The rating itself is E 10+, and notably, free of microtransactions.

The description details Zelda's magic wand, summoning creatures like wind-up knights and slime for combat, while Link utilizes his classic sword and arrows. Combat mechanics include fire-based attacks and enemies dissolving into mist upon defeat.
