Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Part 2: A New Hunt Begins

Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced a second Open Beta Test, offering another opportunity to experience the game before its February 28th launch. This follows the success of the initial beta.

The beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This time, you can hunt the Gypceros, a returning fan-favorite monster!

Character data transfers from the first beta to the second, and then to the full game (though progress won't carry over). Beta participants earn in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm and a special bonus item pack.

Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, stating that many players missed the first, or desired a repeat experience. While the team is diligently working on finalizing the full game, including previously announced improvements, these updates won't be included in this second beta.
