This robust chess program offers 20 skill levels, ranging from beginner to Grandmaster, making it suitable for players of all abilities. It's considered one of the strongest chess engines ever developed, adhering to all official chess rules, including stalemate, insufficient material, the fifty-move rule, and threefold repetition.
Challenge Yourself:
- Experienced Players: Test your skills against the engine at the higher levels (16-20).
- Beginners: Improve your game, focus, and concentration by playing levels (1-10).
Gameplay:
Making a move is intuitive: tap a piece, select a highlighted legal move.
- New Game: Computer -> Choose Level -> Choose Color -> Play
- Specific Position: Setup Position -> Computer -> Choose Level -> Play
- Both Sides Computer Play: Setup Position -> Computer -> Both Sides -> Choose Level
Enhance Your Skills:
Solve over 460 built-in chess puzzles to sharpen your strategic thinking. Viewing ads unlocks three additional puzzles and provides move hints, perfect for learning and utilizing the undo function. A paid ad-free version, Deep Chess, is also available.
Game Analysis:
Analyze your games by inputting moves for both sides, resetting, saving, loading, and then using the hint button (enabled by viewing ads).
Opening Book Support:
The program supports PolyGlot (.bin) opening books. To use one, download the book to your SD card's Downloads or Documents folder, then tap "Files" -> "Add Book" and select your file. Using an opening book significantly improves performance at higher levels.
Game Export and Achievements:
Export saved games as PGN files to your SD card's Downloads folder. Earn achievements by achieving multiple wins at the same level:
- 3 wins: Bronze Star
- 5 wins: Silver Star
- 7 wins: Gold Star
