Players are horrified by the demo of \"Game of Thrones: Kingsroad\"

From the moment "Game of Thrones: Kingsroad" was announced, it faced a wave of skepticism. Many viewers were quick to criticize its visual quality, likening it to a PlayStation 3-era licensed game or a typical mobile title. Despite the initial backlash, there were still some hopeful fans who believed that the game could turn out well, given the scarcity of engaging games based on the iconic series.

The release of the demo during Steam Next Fest has definitively settled the debate, and unfortunately, the consensus is overwhelmingly negative. Players have lambasted "Kingsroad" for its outdated combat mechanics, graphics, and various design choices that scream mobile gaming. Some have even gone so far as to suggest that it's merely a ported mobile game for PC, while others argue it feels like a relic from 2010, regardless of its origins.

Interestingly, amidst the sea of negative feedback, there are positive reviews on the demo's Steam page. Comments such as "I really enjoyed the demo, looking forward to the full release" have appeared, though their authenticity is in question. It remains unclear whether these reviews come from bots or the same optimists who continue to hope for a quality game at launch.

"Game of Thrones: Kingsroad" is set to be released on both PC (via Steam) and mobile devices. However, an exact release date has yet to be announced.
