6 Cartoon Network Games Have Been Delisted

Summary

  • Warner Bros. Discovery's sudden removal of several Cartoon Network games from digital storefronts has sparked significant fan backlash.
  • Popular titles like Steven Universe: Save the Light and Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time are among those affected.
  • Adventure Time: Finn and Jake's Epic Quest, originally released in 2014, is the oldest game removed from sale.

At least six games published under Warner Bros. Discovery's Cartoon Network Games and Adult Swim Games labels have been unexpectedly delisted from platforms like Steam and the Nintendo eShop. These games were removed without explanation, leaving fans unable to purchase them legally.

This delisting reflects Warner Bros. Discovery's recent cost-cutting measures, which have also impacted films and television shows. A similar delisting event occurred in March 2024, targeting several Adult Swim indie games, including Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality. While some titles were reinstated following public outcry, others, like those recently removed, received no communication from Warner Bros. Discovery before their delisting.

As reported by Wario64 on Twitter, the December 23rd delisting affected at least five games: Adventure Time: Finn and Jake's Epic Quest, Adventure Time: Magic Man's Head Games, OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes, Steven Universe: Save the Light, and Steven Universe: Unleash the Light. Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time (2020) was also removed. Steam listings for these games displayed a message indicating their removal from sale after December 23rd, 2024.
