During the fourth cycle of Wanderstop, a stunning humanoid bird visits the shop seeking a sophisticated cup of tea. Following her departure, a group of businessmen—Jerry, Larry, and Terry—arrive. Dressed in suits and ties, these men are en route to a boardroom for a crucial presentation.

Alta quickly realizes they've lost their way, but when she offers them tea, they decline, insisting on coffee. Despite the shop's lack of coffee, the businessmen decide to wait until it becomes available.

Boro, the tea shop's owner, reveals that coffee has never grown in this forest, leaving Alta initially frustrated. The situation changes with the arrival of Zenith, an interdimensional figure fascinated by the businessmen. Unlike them, Zenith accepts Alta's offer of tea, marking their first encounter with a beverage other than coffee.

To unlock coffee beans, you must serve Zenith a unique cup of tea. The ingredient can be anything valuable, from a book or a trinket to a small plant or a photograph. After savoring the tea, Zenith, intrigued by the difference between tea and coffee, asks Alta what's needed to brew the latter. Alta's mention of "coffee beans" sparks a revelation for Zenith.

Using the power of the Infinite Path, Zenith introduces coffee beans to the forest, enabling them to grow in the clearing for the first time. They also add detailed instructions for harvesting and brewing these beans to Alta's Field Guide.

How to Harvest and Brew Coffee in Wanderstop

After Zenith's intervention, coffee beans begin to grow wild in the clearing and respawn randomly. You can harvest them similarly to fruits and seeds, storing them in your ingredients pocket or carrying them by hand. They can also be placed on shelves, tables, floors, or the ground outside.

Before brewing, the beans must be cleaned. Place them in the dishwasher and wait for them to be returned clean via the dish trains in the tea room.

To brew coffee, pour water into the tea maker and heat it (or not, depending on the order), then activate the gear to pour the water into the infuser.
