Electronic Arts has officially announced the release date for the next installment of the Madden NFL franchise, marking the series' full transition to the current generation of gaming consoles.
Madden NFL 26 launches on August 14, 2025, with a three-day early access period starting August 11 for Deluxe Edition pre-orders. The upcoming pro football title will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via the EA app, Steam, and Epic Games Store, as well as on Nintendo Switch 2.
While Madden NFL 26 brings the series to Nintendo’s hybrid handheld for the first time, it also means the game will no longer be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. With no versions planned for the last-generation systems, the franchise is now fully embracing the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series era.
Multiple pre-order options are available, including a loyalty discount for players of Madden NFL 25, 24, or 23—offering 10% off the purchase and a 99 OVR Player Pack in Madden NFL 25 Ultimate Team. The MVP Bundle, which includes the Deluxe Editions of both Madden NFL 26 and College Football 26, is also offered. Below are the benefits included with the Madden NFL 26 Deluxe Edition.
