A month after its release, Crashlands 2 has garnered positive feedback from both critics and players. However, the developer, Butterscotch Shenanigans, hasn't rested on their laurels. They've just rolled out a significant update that introduces a tougher Legends Mode for those who've mastered the game, alongside a range of new features that enrich the already expansive title.
Legends Mode ramps up the challenge, making aliens and flora more formidable, while Flux Dabes becomes even more vulnerable. On the other hand, Explorer Mode offers a more relaxed experience, perfect for players who prefer to take it easy and enjoy activities like fishing.
Responding to player feedback, Butterscotch Shenanigans has reintroduced the Compendium from the original Crashlands. This feature lists all the items you've discovered and tracks your progress towards achieving 100% completion.
WardogsWith the 1.1 update, companion pets have been upgraded from mere aesthetics to fully-fledged combat allies. Additionally, crafted armor now comes with random bonuses, reminiscent of the original Crashlands.
For those who felt the game's opening was too slow, the new update addresses this concern by introducing new weapons, gadgets, and trinkets right from the start. This allows players to dive into the full range of Crashlands 2's offerings much sooner.
Further enhancements include adjustable nighttime darkness, expanded worldspace for building, and the addition of home teleporters, all of which contribute to an even better gaming experience.
