D&D Web Series' Finale Delayed by California Wildfires

Due to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, Critical Role is postponing this week's episode of Campaign 3. The impact on the cast, crew, and community has necessitated this delay. While a return on January 16th is hoped for, further postponement remains a possibility.

Campaign 3 is nearing its thrilling conclusion, with the recent episode ending on a significant cliffhanger. The exact episode count remaining is unknown, but the end of this campaign is imminent, potentially paving the way for a new campaign using the Daggerheart TTRPG system.

The January 9th stream cancellation was announced due to the direct impact of the wildfires on the Critical Role team. Matt Mercer and Marisha Ray were forced to evacuate, while Dani Carr narrowly avoided the worst of the fires. Sadly, producer Kyle Shire lost his home and belongings, though he and his pets are safe. The remaining cast members have shared updates confirming their safety.

While a one-week delay is the current plan, further delays are understandable given the ongoing situation. The Critical Role community is urged to be patient and offer support where possible.

Reflecting their commitment to community, the Critical Role Foundation is donating $30,000 to the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund to aid those affected by the fires. The situation underscores the show's core message: "Don't forget to love each other."
