As the name implies, Deer Skin is obtained by skinning deer. This requires unlocking a relevant Survival perk. Once unlocked, you can hunt deer found commonly in wooded areas throughout the game world and obtain their hides.

While hunting is the most direct method, Deer Skin can also be purchased from various NPCs. Check poacher and bandit camps, but reliable sources include:
