Diablo + Escape from Tarkov. Developer Wolcen announced “ExtrAction RPG” Project Pantheon

Wolcen Studio has announced Project Pantheon, a free-to-play action RPG incorporating extraction shooter mechanics. A closed alpha test begins January 25th in Europe, expanding to North America on February 1st.

Game director Andrei Cirkulete describes the game as a blend of "the tension and risk-reward of an extraction shooter with the battle dynamics of a combat RPG," hinting at influences from titles like Diablo and Escape from Tarkov. The developers are keen to gather player feedback during the alpha.

Players assume the role of a Death messenger, battling AI and other players across diverse maps. Successful evacuations preserve hard-earned trophies; failure results in complete loot loss.

Customization options include base building, equipment personalization, and diverse playstyles. The game world draws inspiration from global mythologies, with player trading forming the core economic system.

The initial adventure unfolds in "Destiny's Edge," a region inspired by Scandinavian folklore. Even in its early alpha stage, the developers plan extensive community interaction to shape the game's development.
