Dungeonborne Set to Close Down, Official Statement

The creators of the PvPvE action game Dungeonborne, inspired by the popular Dark and Darker, have announced the cessation of support for the game and the closure of its servers. Despite an initial surge of interest among fans of the genre, the project, which lasted less than a year, struggled to maintain its player base due to insufficient player activity and a lack of substantial updates.

Although Dungeonborne's page remains available on Steam, it has been removed from the platform's search results and can only be accessed via a direct link. While the official reasons for the shutdown remain undisclosed, it is evident that the extremely low player count was a critical factor. Since late 2024, the game's concurrent player numbers dwindled to a mere 200, and in recent days, activity plummeted to just 10-15 players.

Dungeonborne's servers are scheduled for permanent closure on May 28, marking the end of the project's short-lived journey. This closure signifies that the game, which once captured the imagination of its audience, will now fade into obscurity without fulfilling its potential.
