Beyond battling ferocious monsters, *Monster Hunter Wilds* offers a relaxing pastime: fishing. Each region boasts diverse fish species, and this guide reveals their locations to help you complete your aquatic collection.

Unlocking Fishing in Monster Hunter Wilds

To start fishing, chat with Kanya at the Forest Base Camp in the Scarlet Forest (accessible in Chapter 1). She's by the pond, and talking to her unlocks the fishing rod, the Common Wood Minnow lure, and the "Fishing: Life, in Microcosm" sidequest. This quest is the first of many, eventually unlocking various baits needed to catch the rarest fish.
