Genshin Impact's Wriothesley Rumored for Version 5.4 Rerun After Year-Long Wait

A leak suggests Wriothesley's return to Genshin Impact's Event Banners in Version 5.4, marking his first rerun after a year-long absence since his debut in Version 4.1. This highlights the ongoing challenge Genshin Impact faces in balancing its extensive roster of over 90 playable characters with the limited rerun slots available. With limited 5-star character slots per patch, providing fair and timely reruns for all characters proves difficult.

While the Chronicled Banner aimed to address this issue, its effectiveness remains debated. The extended wait for Shenhe's rerun (over 600 days) exemplifies the problem. Until the introduction of triple banners, longer waits between character reruns seem inevitable.

Wriothesley, a Cryo Catalyst, is a popular character whose Burnmelt team compositions deliver significant damage. The recent Spiral Abyss buff further enhances his viability, adding weight to the rerun speculation. According to leaker Flying Flame, Version 5.4 will feature Wriothesley on its Event Banners.
