Acquiring the Gold Armor Vest: A Step-by-Step Guide

The process involves several steps:

1. Locate Statue Heads: Two statue heads must be found within the Dark Aether Nexus. These are hidden inside destructible wooden boxes. Use melee attacks to break the boxes open and collect the heads. One box is near a palm tree in a corner of the Nexus (closest to the green Gateway portal), and the other is easily spotted near the Juggernog Perk Machine.

   

2. Repair the Statues: Take the statue heads to the Dig Site area. Place them on the two ruined Roman statues. One statue is near the Ammo Cache, and the other is closer to the Roman Mausoleum (Pack-a-Punch location).

3. Complete the Blood Sacrifices: After placing both heads, a "Blood Sacrifice" challenge will become available at each statue. This involves surviving waves of high-value target (HVT) enemies, including Shock Mimics and Doppelghasts. Players will be locked at 1 HP during this challenge, but damage will be absorbed by armor. A Tier 3 vest and ample armor plates are highly recommended.

   

   Strategies for Surviving the Blood Sacrifice:

   • Solo Players: Utilize a Mutant Injection to transform into a Mangler, becoming invulnerable during the challenge. Time the activation precisely as the challenge begins.
   • Co-op Players: One player initiates the Blood Sacrifice while another player, positioned outside the Dig Site, uses a Chopper Gunner to eliminate the HVTs from a distance.

4. Claim Your Reward: Upon successfully completing both Blood Sacrifices, the Gold Armor Vest will become available for purchase as a Wall Buy in the Roman Mausoleum.
