Path of Exile 2's Hidden Golden Idols: A Guide to Finding and Selling Them
Path of Exile 2 features numerous quests, some less obvious than others. Act 3 introduces a unique collectible: Golden Idols. These are designated as Quest Items, but their function differs from typical quest items. Unlike standard quest items, acquiring a Golden Idol doesn't trigger a new quest entry in your log. Instead of progressing a questline, these idols offer a substantial gold reward upon sale. There are five idols to discover in total.
How to Find the Golden Idols
After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment in Act 3, you'll be transported to the past via a portal, encountering the ancient Vaal city of Utzaal (known as The Drowned City in the present). This city showcases the Vaal civilization at its zenith. However, don't get sidetracked; focus on locating the Golden Idols.
These idols are scattered throughout Utzaal and the connected area of Aggorat. Three are found within Utzaal itself, and the remaining two are located in Aggorat. They aren't dropped by enemies; instead, they're discovered on the ground or on pedestals, often in side rooms.

Selling Your Golden Idols
Once you've collected a Golden Idol, return to the Ziggurat Encampment. You can sell these unique items to Oswald, located in the northern part of the encampment. He'll appraise your find, and you can then sell them through his Buy & Sell interface for a significant amount of gold:
Finding all five idols yields a total of 6000 gold. Since they only serve as valuable trade goods, it's recommended to sell them immediately to free up inventory space. Use the portal to quickly return to the encampment after each discovery.
