Currently in early access, Hades 2, the successor to Supergiant Games' acclaimed 2020 roguelike, is slated for full release and console launch next year. Released on PC in May, Hades 2 has garnered acclaim for its exceptional replayability and extensive content. This major update significantly expands the gameplay experience with new dialogue and voice lines, further enriching the storyline. The addition of Olympus, the mythical home of the Greek gods and Zeus's throne, promises an even more intense and engaging adventure.

The update also refines several Nocturnal Arms and Abilities, including adjustments to the Witch's Staff, Sister Blades, Umbral Flames, and Moonstone Axe Specials, enhancing Melinoe's adaptability. Melinoe's Dash has been improved for speed and responsiveness, enabling quicker escapes from attacks. However, this update also raises the stakes by bolstering enemies and introducing new threats.

Supergiant Games has introduced numerous new enemies to populate Mount Olympus, including formidable new Wardens and a powerful Guardian. Existing Surface enemies have also undergone adjustments:

• Chronos: Reduced downtime between phases; minor adjustments.
• Eris: Various adjustments, notably, she no longer inexplicably stands in flames.
• Infernal Beast: Reappears sooner after the first phase; minor adjustments.
• Polyphemus: No longer summons Elite foes; minor adjustments.
• Charybdis: Reduced number of phases; more intense flailing with less downtime.
• Headmistress Hecate: Loses invulnerability sooner after her Sisters of the Dead are defeated.
• Ranged Enemies: Fewer will fire simultaneously.
• Various other minor enemy and combat adjustments.
