Following the excitement of the Winter Tournament, the journey to Anaheim has begun for Indian Pokémon Unite teams, with the stakes higher than ever before. The Pokémon Company, in collaboration with Skyesports, has unveiled the India Qualifier for the Pokémon Unite World Championship Series 2025, featuring a hefty $37,500 prize pool and the opportunity to represent India on the global stage later this year in the United States.
Registrations for the India Qualifiers are currently open and will close on April 4th. The competition will commence on April 5th with a thrilling single-elimination bracket. The top eight teams will then progress to the Playoffs on April 6th, where the format switches to a double-elimination bracket, offering teams a second chance to compete even after a defeat.
Each match will be a best-of-three series, ensuring ample opportunity for teams to showcase their strategic prowess and adaptability. With the tournament's rapid pace, fans can expect non-stop, exhilarating battles. However, with such high stakes, meticulous strategic planning will be crucial.
The team that emerges victorious will not only claim a significant portion of the prize money but will also earn the honor of representing India at the Pokémon Unite World Championship 2025 in Anaheim, California. There, they will compete against the world's elite for the ultimate title and a share of the global $500,000 prize pool.
Speaking on the tournament, Shiva Nandy, Founder and CEO of Skyesports, stated, "After the immense success of the ACL India League 2025, which garnered more than 1.3 million views, we are proud to bring the Pokémon Unite WCS 2025 India Qualifier to our players. This tournament reaffirms our commitment to nurturing grassroots esports talent and providing a clear path to international glory. I wish the best of luck to all the participants."
