Master the Fountain of Confession Puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

This guide unravels the secrets of the Fountain of Confession puzzle within the Vatican section of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, a challenging yet rewarding experience reminiscent of the film's iconic puzzles. This puzzle unlocks the mystery surrounding the giants.

Accessing the Puzzle:

Following the Sacred Wounds puzzle, Indy uses the scroll from the Giant's tomb to locate the Fountain of Confession. Exit Antonio's office (as in the Sacred Wounds mission), consult your journal's map, and follow the waypoints to a courtyard staircase leading to the puzzle's starting point. Remember to photograph all clues for Adventure Points!

Stage 1: The Dragon Statues:

  1. Retrieve the fountain key from the chest near the fountain's construction area.
  2. Use the key to access the storage room.
  3. Employ Indy's whip to rappel to the rooftop and swing to the fountain's upper level.
  4. Swing to the second dragon statue and use its claw to activate a lever.
  5. Manipulate the lever to rotate the statue, aligning it with the opposite dragon.
  6. Repeat the process for the first dragon statue, noting its missing claw.
  7. Locate the fallen claw on the scaffolding. A cutscene ensues with Gina Lombardi's intervention.
  8. Retrieve the claw.
  9. Reattach the claw to the first dragon statue and rotate it to face its counterpart. This action rotates the ground-level fountain statue.

  2. Activate the lever that appears near the fountain to reveal the first wall puzzle (a baptism scene).
  3. Position the larger male statue under the water bucket and use the whip to fill it.
  4. Push the statue towards the smaller statue, completing the "baptism." This moves a statue, clearing half the gate.
  5. Reactivate the lever to reveal the second wall puzzle (a path with stone layers).
  6. Manipulate the handles on the wall to align the stone path and move the angel figure to the right. This moves the second statue.
  7. Finally, push the remaining central statue through the gate to unlock a spiral stairway.
