Do you love deck-building roguelites? And what if it comes with a splash of magic and has pixelated visuals? Well, it’s actually KEMCO’s upcoming game. Called Novel Rogue, it's now open for pre-registration on the Google Play Store.
Set in the enchanting world of an Ancient Library, Novel Rogue revolves around a young apprentice named Write, who trains under the guidance of Yuisil, the Witch of Portals. Write's magical education involves delving into four enchanted tomes, each whisking him away to a completely different realm.
In this game, you'll encounter a variety of scenarios. One moment you might be on a quest to reclaim a fallen kingdom, and the next, you're immersed in solving mysteries of the underworld. The choices you make along the way will influence the destinies of the characters you meet.
Novel Rogue brilliantly blends deck-building with roguelite mechanics. You'll engage in strategic, turn-based battles, crafting and refining your deck across four unique systems, each linked to one of the magical books.
A key element is the Ink, a resource that empowers your deck and allows you to adapt your strategy dynamically. The game rewards creative thinking with special endings to unlock, encouraging you to experiment and think outside the box.
Novel Rogue is completely free to play. For those looking for an uninterrupted experience, you can purchase the Ad Eliminator as an in-app purchase. However, this does not include the bonus 150 Witch Stones, which are part of the premium edition. Note that save data cannot be transferred between the free and premium versions.
KEMCO has opened pre-registration for Novel Rogue on the Google Play Store. The game supports controller compatibility and will be available in both Japanese and English.
