Liam Hemsworth Debuts as Geralt in 'The Witcher' Season 5 Set Photos

The White Wolf makes his final return as production for The Witcher Season 5 kicks off, and new set photos featuring Liam Hemsworth as the iconic Geralt de Rivia have surfaced online. These seemingly leaked images, shared by the dedicated fan site Redanian Intelligence, showcase the Hunger Games actor donning the character's signature long blonde hair and full costume. Alongside Hemsworth, familiar faces like Meng'er Zhang as Milva and Joey Batey as Jaskier, who have been part of the series since Henry Cavill portrayed Geralt, are also seen in the photos. Hemsworth was announced as Cavill's replacement for both Season 4 and the fifth and final season back in October 2022.

In addition to the returning cast, the set images reveal new characters set to appear in Season 4 and continue into the final season, including the legendary actor Laurence Fishburne, known for his role in Morbius, as Emiel Reigs.

Based on these leaked set photos, fans are speculating that Season 5 might draw inspiration from Andrzej Sapkowski’s Tower of the Swallow, where Geralt encounters beekeepers who guide him to the druids. However, with Season 4 yet to be released, the storyline could take numerous turns before fans can piece together the narrative from these early glimpses.

Henry Cavill isn't the only departure from the series; Kim Bodnia, who played Geralt's father figure and mentor Vesemir, will not return for Season 4 due to scheduling conflicts. Netflix has not yet announced Bodnia's replacement for the role, nor has an official release date been set for Season 4.
