NetEase Games' Marvel Rivals kicks off Season 1: Eternal Night Falls with a generous surprise: free Peni Parker and Scarlet Witch skins! Dracula's attack on New York City sets the stage, forcing the Fantastic Four to defend the city. The season runs from January 10th to April 11th, 2025.

This season introduces the Fantastic Four to the game's roster. Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman are available at launch, while Human Torch and The Thing arrive in a mid-season update. Leaks suggest Human Torch will be a Duelist and The Thing a Vanguard class.

Players can obtain the free Peni Parker (Blue Tarantula skin) and Scarlet Witch (Emporium Matron skin) cosmetics by completing quests and earning Chrono Tokens, without needing the premium battle pass (990 Lattice, approximately $10). Peni Parker's skin is on page three of the battle pass, while Scarlet Witch's is on page nine. Note that while a free emote is available for Scarlet Witch, her MVP animation requires the premium pass. A separate Midnight Features event offers a free Thor skin through quest completion.

The in-game shop features new premium skins for Invisible Woman (Malice – a black and red villainous design) and Mister Fantastic (The Maker – sleek dark gray with blue accents).
