Peep Demo Theater Returns

MGS Delta Peep Demo Theater Returning As Revealed by ESRB Rating

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (MGS Delta) has been rated M for Mature by the ESRB, confirming the faithful recreation of the original game, including the controversial Peep Demo Theater. This feature, which appeared in the Subsistence and HD Collection versions of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, allows players to view all cutscenes featuring the female spy EVA, but in her underwear. Players can manipulate the camera freely and zoom in on any part of her body. Unlocking this feature requires collecting all other cutscenes in the Demo Theater, which involves completing four playthroughs of the game.

Given that players assume the role of an elite soldier navigating enemy lines, the M rating due to violence and gore is expected. However, the return of the so-called "Creepy mode" has caught many fans off guard, as its explicit and controversial nature was not anticipated to make a comeback.

Faster Camouflage System

In other news, a welcome addition to MGS Delta’s gameplay is its quicker way to change camouflage. In a Twitter (X) post made by METAL GEAR OFFICIAL on March 28, a video showing an improved process to change camouflage was shown. The post read, "Change camouflage for faces, uniforms, and more on the fly with this new feature in METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER."

Based on the footage, players can now switch their camouflage in under three seconds, a significant improvement over the original game's slower system. In MGS3, changing camouflage was a tedious task that involved pausing the game, navigating through menus, and selecting the desired option. This often disrupted the game's pacing, particularly during stealth sections, and reduced the overall immersive experience.

As the release date for MGS Delta approaches, fans are eagerly anticipating the remake, excited for both the returning features and the quality-of-life improvements that promise to enhance their gaming experience. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is scheduled for release on August 26, 2025, and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
