Gameloft's popular endless runner, Despicable Me: Minion Rush, receives a significant update featuring content inspired by the fourth Despicable Me film, launching in US theaters on July 3rd. This update introduces Poppy, an aspiring villain, and a new mission centered around her first heist: stealing the Honey Badger. Players can also enjoy a new World Games Special Mission and a fresh "Renfield" costume for their minion.
The new content is available now. A trailer showcases additional features.
The enduring success of the Despicable Me franchise, beginning with Illumination's debut feature film (co-produced by Mac Guff), is remarkable. Minion Rush, itself a decade-old phenomenon boasting over a billion downloads, continues to thrive. Despite some finding Gru and the Minions somewhat irritating, their popularity remains undiminished, especially with a new movie on the horizon.
