With Monster Hunter Wilds' release just weeks away, Capcom has launched a PC benchmark on Steam, allowing players to gauge their system's readiness. Even better, the PC system requirements have been significantly lowered.
Capcom's recent Capcom Spotlight unveiled the benchmark tool. While a shader compilation is required upon launch, the benchmark itself is straightforward, providing a clear indication of your PC's performance capabilities. This is especially helpful given the updated system requirements.
Initially, achieving 1080p at 60fps with Frame Generation enabled demanded an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, or AMD Radeon RX 6700XT; an Intel Core i5-11600K, Intel Core i5-12400, AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, or AMD Ryzen 5 5500 CPU; and 16GB of RAM.
However, the updated requirements, found alongside the benchmark, are considerably less demanding:
OS: Windows 10 (64-bit) / Windows 11 (64-bit) Processor: Intel Core i5-10400 / Intel Core i3-12100 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Memory: 16 GB Graphics Card (GPU): GeForce RTX 2060 Super / Radeon RX 6600 (8 GB VRAM) Storage: 75 GB SSD
These revised specifications, according to Capcom, should deliver a smooth 1080p 60fps experience with Frame Generation enabled. The reduction in requirements is notable.

Early benchmark results suggest improved performance compared to the beta, particularly with Frame Generation enabled. However, Steam Deck compatibility remains questionable; while a high-spec PC performed admirably, testing on a Steam Deck yielded disappointing results.
Beyond the processor changes, the storage requirement reduction is striking. The game previously demanded 140GB of SSD space; now, 75GB suffices. This is a surprising decrease, especially considering the typical year-over-year increase in game file sizes.
