Bandai Namco's popular fortress strategy RPG, Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage, is officially closing its servers. This isn't entirely unexpected for many players, mirroring the fate of other Naruto gacha games like Naruto Blazing.
Closure Date:
After nearly seven years (launching in 2017), the game's final day will be December 9th, 2024. Players can continue enjoying the game until then.
Final Events:
Several events are planned before the game's end-of-service (EOS):
Players can still collect Ninja Cards, participate in summoning events, and utilize in-game items until the shutdown. It's advisable to spend any remaining Gold Coins.
Reasons for Closure:
While initially successful with its balanced village-building, trap-setting, and character-defense mechanics, the game's decline began around its mid-life. The introduction of Minato seemingly initiated a power creep, alienating players. This was compounded by increasingly obvious pay-to-win elements, reduced free-to-play rewards, and the near-disappearance of multiplayer features. These factors ultimately contributed to the game's closure. The game remains available on the Google Play Store for those wishing to try it.
