Netflix Announces Movie Based on Hit Game Sifu: Chad Stahelski and T.S. Nowlin Join the Project

Netflix teams up with the Sifu creators for a movie adaptation! The project, initially announced in 2022 and developed by Story Kitchen and Sloclap, has expanded its production team, according to Deadline.

T.S. Nowlin (Maze Runner, Project Adam) is now writing the screenplay. While Derek Kolstad's involvement remains uncertain, Chad Stahelski (John Wick, Ghost of Tsushima) and his company, 87Eleven Entertainment, will executive produce.

Sifu, released in 2022, achieved phenomenal success, selling over a million copies in its first three weeks. The game centers on a young martial artist's quest for revenge after their master's death. Using a mystical pendant for resurrection, each revival comes at the cost of accelerated aging, adding a unique layer to the protagonist's perilous journey.
