Netmarble’s Beat 'Em Up King Of Fighters ALLSTAR Is Shutting Down Soon

Netmarble's popular action RPG, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, is set to conclude its run this October. The official announcement, posted on Netmarble's forums, confirmed the game's shutdown on October 30th, 2024. In-app purchases have already been disabled since June 26th, 2024.

This news comes as a surprise to many, given the game's longevity (over six years) and generally positive player reception. While lauded for its impressive animations and engaging PvP battles, the developers hinted at a potential shortage of characters to adapt as a contributing factor to the shutdown. However, this likely isn't the sole reason, suggesting other, undisclosed challenges played a role.

The game did experience some recent setbacks, including optimization issues and occasional crashes, which frustrated some players. Despite these problems, King of Fighters ALLSTAR still managed to achieve millions of downloads across Google Play and the App Store.

Players have approximately four months remaining to enjoy the game's legendary fighters and iconic battles. Download it from the Google Play Store before the servers go offline in October.
