One of Final Fantasy XIV's most engaging social features is the wide array of emotes players can use to interact. This guide explains how to obtain the charming new "Photograph" emote.

A collaboration with Fujifilm Instax brings this free emote with Patch 7.18. The "Photograph" emote lets you mimic taking a Polaroid photo anywhere in Eorzea.

Unlike many emotes requiring quests or purchases, this one is readily available in your Emote menu after downloading Patch 7.18. No level or expansion is needed!

Using the "Photograph" Emote

Access the emote via the "Social" tab, then find "Photograph" under the "General" tab. Your character will use a Fujifilm-style camera. Add it to your Favorites for easy access.

This dynamic emote works in various locations: underwater (like the Ruby Sea) and while mounted (both grounded and flying). It's perfect for creative poses!

Patch 7.18 precedes the larger Patch 7.2 (late March), featuring new dungeons, the Arcadion's return, Cosmic Exploration, and more.
