Registration for the Elden Ring Nightreign network test opens January 10th. However, this initial test will only be available on a limited number of platforms.
Announced at The Game Awards 2024, Elden Ring Nightreign is a co-op Soulsborne experience set in The Lands Between, designed for three-player parties. Targeted for a 2025 release, the game will undergo at least one network test. Registration opens Friday, January 10th, via the official website. While the number of available spots isn't specified, it's likely to be limited.
How to Sign Up for the Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test
Those accepted will receive confirmation emails by February 2025, the planned test period. Specific dates will be announced soon. Importantly, this test is only available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. This excludes PS4, Xbox One, and PC, representing less than half of the game's target platforms. Cross-platform multiplayer is not supported, limiting play to players on the same console.
While unconfirmed, progress during the test likely won't carry over to the full game. Further betas are possible, though unannounced.
Beyond the lack of cross-platform play, party sizes are also restricted. Elden Ring Nightreign supports solo play and parties of three only; duo play is not supported. Additional gameplay restrictions during the network test are yet to be detailed.
