Pokemon GO Announces Two Legendary Debuts for the Tour: Unova Event

Get ready, Pokémon GO trainers! Black and White Kyurem are finally arriving in Pokémon GO as part of the global GO Tour: Unova event, scheduled for March 1st and 2nd. This highly anticipated duo will be available in raids, offering players the chance to catch both their standard and shiny forms. The event will also feature special in-game backgrounds inspired by the original Pokémon Black and White games.

The arrival of Black and White Kyurem fulfills a long-standing wish for many fans. While a surprise early release occurred in 2023, their official debut within the GO Tour: Unova event is perfectly themed, given the event's focus on the Unova region.

Beyond simply catching them, trainers can participate in fusion events. Black Kyurem can be fused with Zekrom, requiring 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom Candy. Similarly, White Kyurem can be fused with Reshiram using 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Reshiram Candy. These fusions unlock unique attacks (Freeze Shock for Black Kyurem's fusion, Ice Burn for White Kyurem's fusion) and are reversible at no cost. The necessary fusion energy is earned by defeating Kyurem in raids.

Completing these fusions also unlocks special event backgrounds themed after Pokémon Black and White. Unlocking both fusions grants access to a third, unique background.

The GO Tour: Unova event runs March 1st and 2nd, from 10 AM to 6 PM local time, giving players a limited window to participate and collect all the exciting new content. Don't miss out!
