Pokémon GO's New Year's Celebration: Festive Pokémon and Exciting Rewards!

Get ready to celebrate the New Year in Pokémon GO! From December 30th to January 1st, 2025, a special New Year's event brings themed bonuses, unique Pokémon encounters, and plenty of ways to ring in 2025 in style. This follows the Community Day event (December 21st-22nd) featuring returning Community Day Pokémon.

This New Year's event offers a fantastic opportunity to earn 2,025 XP for each Pokémon caught with an Excellent Throw. Enjoy festive fireworks and immersive New Year's decorations as you explore!

Expect increased appearances of special Pokémon: Jigglypuff with a ribbon, Hoothoot in a New Year's outfit, and Wurmple with a party hat will be more common, with a chance to find their Shiny forms.

ytRaids get a festive makeover too! One-star raids feature a snowflake-hat-wearing Pikachu, while three-star raids star party-hat-adorned Raticate and Wobbuffet. All three have boosted Shiny rates.

Complete Field Research and Timed Research tasks for extra encounters. A $2 Paid Timed Research offers exclusive rewards: three Premium Battle Passes, three Lucky Eggs, 2,025 Stardust, and encounters with event Pokémon.

The Ultra Holiday Box ($4.99) remains available in the Pokémon GO Web Store, including Pokémon Storage and Item Bag upgrades, and 17 Rare Candies. Don't forget to redeem available Pokémon GO codes for extra freebies!
