From December 30th to January 1st, 2025, a special New Year's event brings themed bonuses, unique Pokémon encounters, and plenty of ways to ring in 2025 in style. This follows the Community Day event (December 21st-22nd) featuring returning Community Day Pokémon.

Expect increased appearances of special Pokémon: Jigglypuff with a ribbon, Hoothoot in a New Year's outfit, and Wurmple with a party hat will be more common, with a chance to find their Shiny forms.

Raids get a festive makeover too! One-star raids feature a snowflake-hat-wearing Pikachu, while three-star raids star party-hat-adorned Raticate and Wobbuffet. All three have boosted Shiny rates.
