Why Dice Break in Citizen Sleeper 2

The primary culprit behind dice breakage in *Citizen Sleeper 2* is Stress. Throughout your journey, Stress accumulates, particularly when you fail actions or find yourself in a "Starving" state. As Stress increases, so does the likelihood of your dice breaking. Each die can withstand three hits before requiring repair.

How to Repair Dice in Citizen Sleeper 2

Although you may encounter broken dice early on in Hexport, you won't have the means to repair them until you reach Far Spindle. Here, you'll meet a character named Bliss who will unlock the Rig Workshop on your ship. When you're not engaged in a Contract, you can access the Rig Workshop to repair your dice. You'll be presented with two repair options: Improvised Repairs and Dice Repair.

What’s the Difference Between Improvised Repairs and Dice Repair?

Improvised Repair requires 2 Scrap Components and will fix one of your dice. However, this method increases your Glitch meter, heightening the risk of ending up with a glitched die.

On the other hand, Dice Repair demands 1 Rare Component, which are harder to come by. This option adds less to the Glitch meter, making it a preferable choice if you can afford it. While I found Improvised Repair manageable, by the end of *Citizen Sleeper 2*, acquiring Rare Components becomes much easier, so there's no need to be overly cautious with them.

Can You Repair Glitched Dice?

Glitched dice, which have a 20 percent chance of a positive outcome and an 80 percent chance of a negative outcome, can be a frustrating setback. While the game doesn't offer a direct method to repair them, certain story events, particularly after the "Diagnose Your Frame" drive, will repair a single glitched die. So, don't lose hope!
