V Rising surpasses 5 Million Units Sold, Major 2025 Update Announced

The vampire survival game V Rising has achieved a remarkable milestone, exceeding five million units sold. Developer Stunlock Studios celebrated this achievement and unveiled ambitious plans for a significant 2025 update, promising a wealth of new content and features.

V Rising, released in full in 2024 following a successful two-year early access period (starting in 2022), has captivated players with its compelling open-world survival gameplay, engaging combat, exploration, and base-building mechanics. Its June 2024 PS5 launch further expanded its reach. Despite minor post-launch adjustments, the game's overall reception has been overwhelmingly positive, solidifying its success.

Stunlock Studios CEO Rickard Frisegard highlighted the dedication of his team and the strong community built around V Rising, emphasizing that the five million sales figure represents more than just a number. This milestone, Frisegard confirmed, fuels the team's commitment to ongoing development and improvement.

The upcoming 2025 update promises to "redefine" the V Rising experience. Key features include:

• New Faction: Encountering a previously unseen faction will introduce fresh challenges and storylines.
• Enhanced PvP: Improved PvP options, including dedicated duel arenas and safer PvP encounters (preventing blood type loss on death), will be introduced. This builds upon the preview showcased in update 1.1.
• Advanced Crafting: A new crafting station will allow players to leverage item stat bonuses for enhanced endgame gear creation.
